Mel ToledoMelencia Tolledo, fondly called Mel by many, is a lady with beauty and heart. Soft-spoken, she always handles herself with grace, elegance, and dignity.
Mel is a registered nurse with expertise in surgery. Currently, she works at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago where she was honored with the nationally recognized Daisy Award, which is given to exemplary nurses. Mel has also received the Excellence in Clinical Care by the Philippine Nurses Association of Illinois. A healthcare entrepreneur, she also owns her own Mother Care Group Homes in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This Sagittarius demonstrates true care and civic service by supporting various organizations which focus on serving the community, including Typhoon Haiyan, Walk for Hydrocephalus, and Feed my Starving Children. For her efforts, Mel has received accolades, including, one for Asian Exemplary Civic Service from Asian Chronicle USA. In addition, she was given the President’s Volunteer Service Award, presented to her as appreciation for her efforts to strengthen Filipino communities through volunteer service.
